25 abandoned Yugoslavia monuments that look like they’re from the future
“These structures were commissioned by former Yugoslavian president Josip Broz Tito in the 1960s and 70s to commemorate sites where WWII battles took place or where concentration camps stood. They were designed by different sculptors and architects, conveying powerful visual impact to show the confidence and strength of the Socialist Republic. In the 1980s, these monuments attracted millions of visitors per year, especially young pioneers for their ‘patriotic education.’ After the Republic dissolved in early 1990s, they were completely abandoned, and their symbolic meanings were forever lost. From 2006 to 2009, Kempenaers toured around the ex-Yugoslavia region with the help of a 1975 map of memorials, bringing before our eyes a series of melancholy yet striking images.”

Lately I’ve been checking out a lot of religious talk for some reason. One of their creationist points is that life just can’t originate by itself. They’ve also done some pseudo science to prove they can’t recreate the first links of life. Well others now have, so listen up everybody who thinks life can’t originate on itself.
Also I’ve been thinking about this a long time, and if you meet a creationist or are one yourself, tell him/her/yourself this: No one has ever found a perfect system. That is a system with a 100% efficiency. There’s always loss, like in the laws of thermodynamics/entropy. If you know of a 100% efficient system in the entire universe, please tell me…Well, given that, we can safely assume that reproduction of any kind is also not a 100% efficient. The error margin that arises is called evolution when regarding living matter. Think about it. It can be the tiniest organism or a giant elephant, some unkown sulfur based lifeform, whatever, but if it reproduces there is bound to be a duplication/reproduction error sooner or later. That error/change is the first step of an evolution away from the original organism. So IF there is no system with a 100% efficiency, evolution is inevitable when there is reproduction…
